BSM Managing Partner intervenes during a colloquium regarding the amelioration of business opportunities in Lebanon

In the presence of His Excellency Mr. Saad Hariri, Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic, and other key ministers and leaders, Badri and Salim El Meouchi Law Firm Managing Partner Chadia El Meouchi reported on a workshop on doing business in Lebanon, conducted under the auspices of the IFC, stating that costs of registration of companies in Lebanon are very expensive compared to other countries, and she further reported on the need to undertake a series of measures that would reduce the delays and costs of registration of companies in order to attract more investors to the country.

In addition, Chadia El Meouchi reported that the workshop recommended the necessity of implementing various measures such as the systematisation of real estate registries, simplification of administrative procedures, reduction of the minimum legal capital of companies and the exemption for companies from paying certain taxes/levies imposed by the Minister of Finance.
